Site Manager
My Client have over the years established several frameworks within the Power Sector for several electricity distribution network operators. They are currently going through a period of sustained growth and have an exciting opportunity within their existing sector for an enthusiastic and positive Site Manager. This role will predominantly be working within 132KV/33KV Substation environments. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all site activities to be managed to the highest standards in all areas of delivery.

The Role
Working with the Project Manager identifying additional works outside of the main tendered project through Early Warning notification, capturing site opportunities while maintaining an excellent client relationship to enable the most efficient and cost effective approach in delivering outstanding projects, maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality at all times.
Working with the Project Manager and QS you will be accountable for cost control on your projects demonstrated through Cost to Complete reviews and updates. Strong leadership in the management of the supply chain required.
Other duties include: -
* To ensure Health & Safety, quality is of paramount importance
* To regularly review project status ensuring all options have been considered and evaluated to improve construction performance
* Ensure commercial challenge at all times
* Day to day site, business documentation requirements
* GRN's
* Raising of Non-Conformances and promotion
* Promote Near Miss and Positive Intervention
* Strong leadership with employees on site
* Engagement and management of the Supply Chain
* Quality Assurance
* Environmental control
* Development of strong team working relationships
* Ensuring all project KPIs and KPMs are achieved
* Upload documentation as and when necessary in line with business requirements
* Developing accurate project programmes and responsible for weekly updates
* Developing accurate cost forecasts
* Ensuring compliance to procedures through weekly/monthly returns where required
* Cost risk management and early identification of problematic issues on site
* Produce safe and efficient sites
* Ownership of the project, costs, programme, documentation, site activities, procurement etc
* Bring innovative ideas
* Meet set targets / monitor against KPI's
* Weekly submission of information through T2C including weekly timesheets, GRN's & site checklists
* Monthly submission of personal returns for timesheets and mileage
* Collection of data for Contract including scheme drawings of layout, sections, construction details
* Weekly progress reports
* Use of latest IT developments including EPROC
* Interface with Commercial teams to ensure correct site measures and development of Cost to Complete
* Staff and Operative's Appraisals
