My client is a medium size practice, located in Yeovil, UK, in a vibrant open planned office with a sociable team spirit. They specialize in commercial and retail interior design. Due to an increased workload, they seek an experienced Technical/Revit Designer to join their in house Technical Team.
Their expectation is to find an individual who is fully proficient in AutoCAD, who can survey and design layouts for our retail clients. The ideal successful candidate would be proficient in Revit. The initial contract would last three months but could be extended for the right candiate.
The main responsibilities would be:
Produce and develop necessary drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
Carry out site surveys of retail projects - draw up the site survey detail and produce a detailed set of drawings in AutoCAD, ideally also in Revit
Desirable: Create Revit families in response to project need
Provide technical assistance to project managers and client services team
Establish relevant levels of drawing/technical information required for individual projects both for the client and manufacturer
Maintain quality and consistency of design environment
Location
Their surveys can take place anywhere in the UK, France and Germany. They would cover the cost of expenses associated with travel, accommodation etc to survey. When not surveying they would like the individual to be based in their Yeovil offices.
Personal Characteristics
They are looking for a proactive, intelligent and dynamic person to work in a fast paced environment.
They need to demonstrate they have significant experience in AutoCAD and surveying, ideally in Revit.
4+ years production experience in design, drafting or engineering
Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current BIM methodology with the emphasis on Revit
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
Possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values
Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and email
Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
Hold a full UK driving licence
