Technical Property Claims Manager

Act as a technical referral point and deal with more complex claims and complaints
* Set and monitor technical standards for the team and across the department
* Develop and lead a team of Technical Handlers
* Keep abreast of the industry market developments and relay those where appropriate.
* Provide technical bulletins reflecting statutory and regulatory changes
* Regular one to ones and appraisals of the team
* Provide input in to process improvement and innovation
* Control over cheque/payment requests and authorisation
* Monitor, control and carry out analysis on adverse trends apparent in claim spend
* Maintain services and operations to meet quality standards
* Training and development of staff
* Management of Suppliers and Loss Adjusters
* Carry out technical audits and provide feedback to a group, or on a one to one basis
* Develop a range of initiatives and support projects as required by management
* Undertake other duties over and above those listed in the job description, appropriate to the individual's skills and experience
