People for Practice are currently looking to recruit two Junior Accountant/Client Care Assistants for a successful, established Practice based in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing and ambitious firm with more than 40 years in the industry.
The client is a 2 Partner practice and employs 12 additional staff members. They work with around 200 business clients and process about 600 TR's a year.
Whilst the role is that of a Client Care Assistant and naturally involves significant client interaction as the title would suggest, the role is actually more akin that of a Junior Accountant with responsibility for VAT Returns, Corporation and Personal Tax Returns and preparation of accounts and Tax Returns for sign off via a Manager.
This would suit a practice experienced Accounts Junior/Assistant Accountant looking to progress with an established practice in a role with more client interaction that that of a standard Accountant role.
The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
• Presenting Accounts and Tax to appropriate Manager for review
• Accounts prep for Sole Traders, Ltd Companies and Partnerships
• Preparation of Corporation and Personal Tax Returns
• VAT Returns
• Business Tax and Self-Assessment etc
• Client liaison, answering client queries etc
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Minimum of 4 years Practice experience
• ACCA/AAT qualified or part qualified
• Good understanding of Tax
