People for Practice are currently looking to recruit a Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk for an established practice based in Lancaster. This role will involve general bookkeeping duties but with a strong focus on Payroll.
Payroll will make up roughly 30% of the role and the successful candidate will need to be confident with all aspects of payroll including Holiday, Sick and Maternity pay and Auto Enrolment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for producing accounts and general bookkeeping work.
The client works with roughly 450 clients, employ 9 staff members and have been trading for 45 years.
The main responsibilities of the Semi-Senior Auditor will include but are not limited to:
• General Bookkeeping
• Account preparation
• Preparing responses to ad-hoc queries from clients
• Client payroll
• Liaising with company partners and other team members
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Experience of working within a practice environment
• Ideally candidates will be qualified, the client may consider qualified by experience for an exceptional candidate
• Must be confident liaising with clients
• Must be computer savvy
