People for Practice are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant with a minimum of 3 years practice experience for a Chartered Accountants based in East Grinstead in Sussex.
This role will involve managing a portfolio of roughly 60 to 70 clients for whom the successful candidate will be preparing accounts, VAT returns, Corporation and Personal Tax Returns and payroll. Audit experience is desirable but non-essential as auditing will not be a regular part of the role.
The client has been established for 25 years, employs 8 staff and works with about 300 clients.
At present, all existing staff members are female so male applicants must be comfortable being the only male in the office.
The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
• Some payroll
• Accounts prep for Sole Traders, Ltd Companies and Partnerships
• Managing a portfolio of 60/70 clients
• VAT Returns and reconciliations
• Client liaison via email, face to face and over the telephone
• Corporation and Self-Assessment Tax Returns
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Minimum of 3 years Practice experience
• Good understanding of Corporation and Personal Tax
• Good payroll knowledge
