Warehouse/Forklift Operative
Andover, Permanent
Monday-Friday 8.00-16.30 (40 hours per week)
GBP16,000 - GBP18,000 per annum
Our Andover based client is urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join their team. The successful applicant must have experience working in a similar warehouse/manufacturing or production environment.
Role Duties:
-All warehousing operations from 'goods in' to 'goods out'
-To supply materials to internal customers and management waste disposal
-To prepare finished goods for distribution to customers
-To control stock levels, site deliveries and operate Forklift trucks
-To handle customer queries and product returns as required
-To pick and pack customer orders and manage rack locations in the warehouse
-To maintain a high level of health and safety and a safe working environment
-To take responsibility for stock control systems and software
-To assist in developing safe working procedures
-To identify and report any stock discrepancies
Skills & Knowledge required:
-The successful applicant will ideally hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence and have knowledge of pivot steer
-Knowledge of working in a similar warehouse/production based role is desirable
-The successful applicant must have strong numeracy and written communication skills
-The ability to use computerised stock management systems is essential
-The successful applicant will have a good attention to detail and accuracy in their work
-Excellent customer service skills and a polite telephone manner are key
