A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to work for a leading supplier of Assistive Technology and disability related management solutions. Based in Southampton, the successful Account Manager will earn a starting salary of £18,000 to £22,000, depending on experience. 

Working in partnership with the leading manufacturers of assistive technology, this award-winning technology company provides support and problem-solving expertise to a variety of sectors, helping educators enhance their learning and communication through the use of technology. The role of the Account Manager is to provide all post recommendation engagement, support and guidance to individuals and line managers, in-line with key performance indicators and contract requirements. Your core duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 
  • Providing a professional and knowledgeable yet compassionate support service by engaging with individuals and line managers regarding their workplace adjustment recommendations
  • Translating recommendation documents to individuals and line managers, ensuring they understand the recommendations, how they will have a positive impact and how to full utilise and implement the recommendation
  • Providing support and guidance to individuals and line managers on how to correctly set up or implement the recommendations and/or adjustments and to provide an opportunity for these to be effectively reviewed
  • Providing any further signposting, resources and factsheets to individuals and line managers to ensure they get the most out of their customer experience
  • Proactively engaging with individuals regarding their expected delivery/installation and/or implementation of recommendations to fully manage the customer’s expectation and add real value to the end-end service
  • Delivering a support service that meets (and keeps up to date with) relevant contract requirements and key performance indicators, and encourages to solicit and review relevant user/customer feedback to continuously improve the company’s support service to the clients
To be considered for the Account Manager role you must have demonstrable experience within customer service, specifically telephony/virtual customer support. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and experience: 

  • To have experience of working to key performance indicators, meeting contract requirements and keeping up to date with relevant legislations, policies and procedures
  • To have a degree will advantageous but not essential
  • To be strong in email and computer system packages (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
  • To demonstrate strong time management skills
  • To be able to take full ownership of a task and its final resolution
  • To have excellent interpersonal skills
  • To have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • To have excellent interpretation/analytical skills; meaning you can digest information efficiently and successfully and then fully communicate this to a variety of stakeholders in a way they will understand
