Principal Teachers are acting on behalf of a secondary school in the Knaresborough area. The school has a vacancy for a Teacher of Girls PE to commence a long term role from September on a full time basis. The Head Teacher is seeking a driven professional, who can instil a love of physical education and deliver a stimulating KS3 and KS4 curriculum. The successful applicant will need to have experience of delivering a practical and theory based PE curriculum to KS3 and KS4 girls and experience of writing schemes of work would be beneficial. You will need to show your commitment to improving attainment for all and plan meticulously to ensure the needs of all students are met. Lessons should be differentiated to allow students to be equal parts supported and challenged. Based in a vibrant area of Knaresborough, the school serves a diverse catchment area and is well respected within the local community. You will become part of a thriving and experienced PE Department, where working collaboratively is very much encouraged to share best practice. The Head Teacher wishes to appoint a dedicated professional, who will instil a love of sports and exercise into students of varied abilities and provide them with the support they need to succeed. Behaviour across the school is very good and so you will need to ensure these high standards are upheld and commit to the schools behaviour management policy. You will also need to show your dedication to participating in the wider aspects of school life including extra curricular activities and residentials.
