Service Engineer
Location: North Yorkshire
Basic salary of up to GBP32,000 dependent on experience with an OTE of GBP45K plus company van and fuel card, credit card, all PPE and tooling.

Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join their team based in North Yorkshire and covering throughout the UK.
Role & Responsibilities will include:
• Travelling to customer sites, diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and fixing shredders to ensure that customer downtime is kept to a minimum.
• inspections and services of shredders to ensure that customer downtime is avoided and throughput levels maintained.
• Installing and commissioning shredders newly delivered to customers so that they are operational as soon as possible.
• Providing basic operation and maintenance training to customer operators to ensure their ability to use shredders safely and effectively.
• Interpreting schematics, manuals and other specifications to ensure that all services and repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturers' instructions.
Essential Experience / Skills:
• Qualified and apprentice trained Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
• Skilled in diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical machinery faults
• Worked with gearboxes and bearings
• Installing and commissioning machinery
• Full UK driving licence (ideally clean)
• Flexibility is required in relation to working hours to ensure that jobs are finished.
Advantageous:
• Experience of welding and burning and possession of a forklift licence are desirable but not essential.
This will include regular overnight stays and occasional weekend work. Overtime will be paid accordingly.
