My client is a long term established company based within Andover. Due to rapid expansion, they require a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their team.
The job holder should be:
*
Proficient in working to drawings and specifications.
*
Competent in working to tight tolerances and perform Quality Control.
*
Able to work on your own initiative and understand the manufacturing processes.
*
Be familiar with and able to maintain Manufacturing Data Base stock control records.
*
Perform such other duties that from time to time may be assigned to him/her by Materials Manager or Team Leader CNC Machining.
*
Not carry out any instruction that appears to be unlawful and prevent other employees from carrying out such acts
Education and Qualification(s)
*
Relevant academic Mechanical Engineering qualification or vocational training.
Essential Experience
*
Minimum 3 years' in a medium engineering machine shop facility.
*
Programming and Operating CNC machine Tools. (Training Available for OKUMA).
*
Selecting the right tools for each stage.
*
Setting the cutting speeds, feeds and tolerance levels.
*
Technical skills: understanding of modern machining techniques and tooling performance.
*
MS Office skills and use of Manufacturing Data Base.
*
Time management
*
Action oriented / Direct work / Optimise work processes
*
Communicate effectively
This is a Monday to Friday Day shift role.
