Salary of £50k per annum

My client is looking to recruit a Senior Network Engineer to join them on a full time permanent basis.  

Focusing predominately on supporting and maintaining network infrastructures throughout EMEA in accordance to SLA commitments, the successful candidate will also, where appropriate, become involved in the development of network technologies and projects to ensure all IT&T systems remain current. 
 

A main overview of duties has been provide below:

• To provide proactive and troubleshooting support duties to Network Requests and Incidents for all IT&T supported systems across the EMEA region;
• To be the technical lead on the EMEA network estate, including (but not limited to);
• WANs (MPLS/vpn) connectivity across company internally and telco infrastructures;
• Routers/Distribution and Core Switching infrastructures (HP and CISCO);
• Firewalls (Fortigate, Juniper, CISCO);
• Avaya VoIP PBX;
• Traffic accelerators;
• Related device OS and software.
• To maintain and respond to proactive monitoring systems (Solawinds);
• To record and manage Requests and Incidents using the helpdesk service tool ServiceNOW;
• To collaborate, contribute and lead, where appropriate, on Network infrastructure projects and initiatives;
• Any other appropriate duties as designated by the Line Manager.

Due to the demands of the role, there may well be some international travel.

Additionally, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working closely with the IT team in the UK as well as colleagues throughout APAC and the Americas.
 

Ideally they are looking for someone who has:

• Certifications in networking (HP-ASE and Cisco certifications around CCNA and/or CCNP are essential to the role);
• Strong experience in the installation, testing, delivery, and support of networking environments for mid to Large scale organizations;
• Strong analytical and fault diagnosis skills;
• Experience supporting a network environment with externally driven customer SLAs;
• Experience with high availability technology, especially clustering and load balancing.
