Role and responsibilities
- Overview of all product intake and storage
- Ensuring product safety and minimising the risk of product contamination throughout intake to despatch
- Appropriate segregation of products, handling meat products
- Adhering with full process steps as stated in the company’s food management system regarding product specification and safety
- Rejection of orders not to specification
- Ensuring product is conforming to spec on intake
- Dealing with non-conforming product and communicating with suppliers accordingly
- Dealing with customer returns according to the company’s food management system
- Identifying risks and hazards to product safety
- Monthly stocktaking
- Participate in factory adults and inspections as and when required
- Using Folk Lift to manoeuvre pallets
- Further roles may be added with legislation, industry and company changes
Candidate requirement
- Forklift licence is an advantage, can be trained if not
- Knowledge of meat boxed and fresh is an advantage
- Knowledge of labelling and processing boxes and produce in their correct storage arears and correct batch coding application
- Numerical skills essential
- Good level of English both written and verbal
- Must be able to start early such as 4am and finish at 1pm
- Own transport is beneficial
- Must be in good health and be able to lift up to 20KG
- Able to work along at times, as well as in a team
In return, the company offers a competitive base salary of £450 per week rising up to £500 per week after probation.
