Our client is a franchise main dealer based in the Birmingham area of the West Midlands who requires a fully trained and experienced Diagnostic Technician.
Job Title and Location:
Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician, [town/city], [county]
Type of Role:
This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday with a rota for Saturday mornings
Salary and Benefits:
GBP11.00 per hour basic plus bonus and benefits
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Diagnose, report faults and best means of repair
-Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs
-Assign repair work to relevantly skilled members of the team
-Road test and quality check all completed work
-Maintain a clean, safe and healthy working environment
-Participate in technical assessments and training as required
-Complete job cards and warranty paperwork accurately in relation to each job
Skills and Experience Required:
It is essential that you have been fully trained and qualified as a Vehicle Technician (Mechanic) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, have a minimum of 12 months work experience as a Diagnostic Technician and hold a full valid driving licence.
The ideal candidate should be skilled to the level that they can work unsupervised in carrying out electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs to vehicles whilst maintaining the highest of quality control standards and being self-motivated.
Main dealer experience is essential, being an MOT Tester would be an advantage but is not essential.
