PART-TIME EVENTS EXECUTIVE role in Central Harrow, HA1, less than 5 minutes' walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill station.
Job Type: Permanent, part-time - circa. 20 hrs pw Mon-Fri.
Salary £23,652 FTE pro rata part-time

Lovely independent company in Central Harrow, needs an Events Executive with exceptional organisational and administrative skills, a can-do attitude and an interest in arranging conferences/awards with a track record to evidence.
The company is a leading provider of innovative media solutions to the kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and electrical retailing industry. You will support the Events Team incl. day-to-day administrative tasks, communication with clients/suppliers and undertake research/analysis.
The client's B2B/B2C publications are well renowned, as are their successful industry events & conferences.
As the ideal person, you are adept at prioritising workload, managing your time effectively & multitasking. You are numerate, accurate & analytical. Your communication skills, both verbal & written, are excellent & you have a confident telephone manner & a strong customer service persona with teams & stakeholders, enabling you to build relationships at all levels.
You are proactive, reliable, motivated & detail specific with a conscientious work ethic. You contribute to generating ideas for team & client initiatives & are open-minded to changing environments & circumstances. You have a winning attitude & can demonstrate a commitment to business goals & objectives.
You may have a marketing or customer service qualification. You will have the flexibility to travel within the UK with overnight stays as required & the flexibility to extend your working hours in the run-up to events. Drivers licence essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support to the Events & Operations Director/Sales Team
- Develop procedures to enhance the smooth operation of the events portfolio, incl. supporting the team in the planning & delivery of current/new events
- Liaise with/support sponsors, guests, finalists, winners & delegates, before/during and after prestigious industry events
- Liaise with judging panels/speakers & arrange judging sessions
- Organise event industry catering
- Manage seating plans, guest lists, table seating plans
- Active involvement on site during build-up, open period and breakdown
- Manage event databases
- Build relationships with entrants, guests, external suppliers & venues
- Contribute to digital marketing & social media, assist with marketing events incl. creating campaigns
- Proficient user of MS Office products
- Other duties assigned by the Events & Operations Director
