We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Heating Engineer to join our team based in Manchester.
Within this role, you will provide Day 2 Day repairs, servicing and maintenance of Gas and Oil fired heating appliances within Public Buildings and commercial premises and associated plant and equipment in accordance with the relevant safety regulations and departmental procedures.
You will be responsible for tracing, diagnosing and repairing faults on domestic hot water systems as well as repairing/replacing components associated with heating controls. You will also be expected to participate in a 24/7 out of hours roster.
In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent and/or possess a minimum of NVQ level 3 or its equivalent (i.e. relevant City & Guilds Basic Craft Certificate) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
In addition, you will hold a current Commercial & Domestic ACS with a minimum requirement of; CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CPA1 and COCN1, TCPC1A, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1, CCP1. Experience of working in a Building Construction Industry and/or commercial/process industries is also essential.
Experience of oil fired systems would be beneficial, however is not essential as we only have a few sites now that have oil fired systems.
