Geotechnical Design Engineer - Warrington
My prestigious client is expanding its geotechnical department and is looking for a new Geotechnical Design Engineer in its Warrington office. You will be working alongside the Team leader to manage aspects of projects, providing technical inputs to projects and working with aspects design teams.
Experience in the geotechnical field is paramount with the minimum qualification my client will consider is a MEng in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnics or a MICE (Chartered Civil Engineer).
Other essential experience includes: Working independently, providing direction to junior staff, experience in UK multi-disciplinary projects, previous work in geotechnical design, post grad project experience, ground investigation design, using VDISP, WALLAP, SLIDE and SlopeW, data analysis, motivating teams, communicating on all levels of the business and a knowledge of PLAXIS is an advantage.
The Geotechnical Design Engineer's typical day to day duties in more detail include: Act as a leader figure to teams providing guidance and support in geotechnical activities, managing the analysis of designs, being able to suggest ideas to maximise the efficiency of the project, overseeing and managing all the commercial aspects of the project (invoicing, contracts???), briefing team members to make sure the task is fully understood, carrying out health and safety procedures for yourself and your team, working in collaboration with design teams to ensure the integrity of the specific design and much more???
It is essential that all applicants have a Full UK driver's Licence.
