Air Freight Coordinator - GBP23K - Air Freight
Air Freight Coordinator required for leading family owned Freight Forwarder based in Leeds.
The Freight Forwarder have multiple UK sites - this role will be based from Leeds.
This role would suit an individual with an Air Freight operations background.
The group employ 750 employees across 20 UK sites. Leeds is a talented and experienced team of 5 so close knit and you would play a big part in a successful team.
The Package :
Circa GBP20K - GBP25K
Medical Insurance
Pension scheme with contribution
28 days (increases annually)
Hours : 09:00 - 17:30
The Role:
"This role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual who is competent in both import and export operations including customs entries , taking bookings, submitting and following up quotations , arranging collections and deliveries and liaising with our overseas partners"
To administer activities within the Air Freight operations team, taking appropriate action to maintain a high level of accuracy.
To ensure that the department offers a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers, providing appropriate, accurate information and demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner, taking responsibility to ensure that work passed onto others is of a high quality.
To authorise and check quotations issued by other departments and offer advice and guidance on quotations to the operations team, to ensure that profits are maximised.
To demonstrate an understanding of Customs requirements, Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods rules, ensuring that all controls, formalities and procedures are implemented both pre and post shipment.
To support any operational requirements in line with qualifications gained and training received.
To ensure that all documentation, records and systems are accurate and kept up to date..
Requirements:
Air Freight experience with a Freight Forwarder
Export or Import (or both)
