Graduate Behaviour Mentor - Maldon

Are you a dedicated and confident Graduate looking for school-based experience to support your future career as a Teacher, SENCO, School Counsellor or Educational Psychologist?
Do you work well and stay calm in challenging situations and do you think you have what it takes to support disadvantaged students as a Graduate Behaviour Mentor in a school setting?

As a Graduate Behaviour Mentor you will need to be able to connect with troubled students and strike the perfect balance with them to ensure they can progress on an academic and pastoral level.

- Graduate Behaviour Mentor role in Maldon and surrounding areas
- Starting September/October 2017
- Initial one-year contract
- Supporting disadvantaged students with behaviour difficulties
- 5 days per week
- GBP60.00 - GBP65.00 per day

As a Graduate Behaviour Mentor you need to believe in providing opportunities for students to become independent and well-rounded individuals ready to embrace all that life has to offer. You will develop and implement strategies that can remove the barriers to learning that have hindered their progress up to now. You will need to be a patient and resilient individual as working as a Behaviour Mentor can be extremely challenging.

A Graduate Behaviour Mentor works on a full time basis supporting a student's behaviour and learning inside and outside of the classroom. This is primarily a class based position however it is very likely you will be required to deliver 1:1 withdrawal sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of the student's behaviour and learning.

Working as a Graduate Behaviour Mentor will allow you to build up invaluable experience which can help to support you in your future career choice whether as a Teacher or Psychologist. You will have the opportunity to be a positive role model to those in need as well as having access to the outstanding CPD programme that our partnership schools can offer.
