Shift Engineering Manager
As the Engineering Shift Manager, you will lead, engage and motivate the shift engineering team to deliver all activities on shift including planned, predictive and reactive maintenance, and identify improvements to benefit the site and reduce downtime to deliver the customer promise.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Leading and motivating the multi-skilled engineering team to deliver planned, predictive and reactive maintenance during the shift in line with our safe working environment;
* Operate a Maintenance Management programme directed towards optimising plant availability.
* Train and develop engineering personnel
* Produce a continuous improvement plan, targetted at increased productivity from existing plant and reducing reducing maintenance costs
* Schedule engineering activity to be delivered during the shift, working alongside Control Room, Operations Managers and third party contractors to minimise the operational impact on customer promise; resolving any issues that arise during the shift
* Review system performance, log and analyse incidents and make recommendations/options to resolve issues, outlining options and pros/cons etc.
Skills:
* Qualified Engineer in an appropriate Engineering discipline
* Proven experience of leading, engaging and developing a large multiskilled, shift based team within a fast paced environment
* Proven practitioner of preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance and problem solving
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
* Experience of working in an automated warehouse environment
