Business Support Administrator
Salary GBP20 - GBP25k

This new and entrepreneurial business is looking for an exceptional Business Support Administrator to join their small team based in an historic building in the heart of York centre.
The overall purpose of the role is provide general administration and financial support to the MD and existing team on a day to day basis whilst liaising over the telephone, email as well as face to face with a variety of national and local businesses, public stakeholders and commercial contractors.
No two days will be the same and will involve some of the following;
•Acting as the first point for partners, clients and customers
•Liaising with the company accountants; monitoring of and budget reporting as well as overseeing cash flow
•Dealing with purchase orders and invoicing
•Dealing with staff, contractors and stakeholders on administrative issues
•Assisting with various on-going projects, updating the website
•Maintaining an information base about projects and issues relating to York and other cities as well as national issues
•Setting up bank payments and reconciliation
•Producing basic financial reports and forecasts
•Maintaining the company database
•Organising and attending Board meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences
•Dealing with telephone and written correspondence
The successful Business Support Administrator will have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills. You should be a self-starter with well-developed interpersonal skills and who is flexible in responding to the demands of a new organisation. As well as being part of a team you will be able to work on your own and enjoy being a part of something that will ultimately make York a better place to live and work in!
The ideal person for this role will have worked in an autonomous role similar to this one, be a genuine individual with a mature approach, switched on and have excellent presentation skills, accounts knowledge and a good customer service approach.
