Senior Civil Engineer

My client is a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy which has offices in multiple office serving clients both regionally and nationally across the full range of Structural, Civil, Building Surveying and Project Management disciplines. Due to a number of successful appointments on a number of framework agreements the need has arisen to appoint an Associate level Civil Engineer to be based in their Hull office. The departments workload is variable but mainly consists of designing schemes in the following areas:
Highways Design, S278 and S38
Drainage Infrastructure Design
Sustainable Drainage Schemes
Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments
Flood Alleviation schemes
Project Management
Client Liaison
Cost analysis of schemes
They consider that the individuals we are looking for will have several years' experience in a similar practice and be used to managing a number of projects at any one time in a fast moving environment. This position calls for Engineers who are comfortable in a client facing position and who can represent my client at a senior level along with managing their own workload with little input or direction.
It would be preferable for you to be a Chartered Civil Engineer or near chartered due to the nature of the work. They are willing however to consider applications from Engineers who can demonstrate, by experience, that they can operate at a senior level and take decisions on behalf of the organisation. We anticipate in a short period of time the successful applicant will be managing a team of Engineers and Technicians.
We also consider the following skills would be essential to have:
Micro drainage design
PDS design
3D ground modelling
AutoCAD experience
Preparation of fee estimates
Design of external works for residential sites
