As a software engineer, you'll be developing across the full stack - not just front-end HTML/JS and back-end, but also talking to customers, understanding requirements, testing, communicating, deploying and supporting.

You'll be writing clean code using the best tools available, applying agile development techniques appropriately and contributing to modern codebases. You'll be taking responsibility for delivering end-to-end user stories, supported by experienced lead developers to help you learn and grow.

In addition to working with their clients, you'll be helping them build their internal tools, working on their open-source projects and also helping to shape new products as they develop them.

Skills & Requirements

- Full-stack experience developing commercial-quality web applications
- Strong HTML/CSS/JS, both 'vanilla' and as part of a framework
- Experience of C# preferable for back-end development
- Good SQL, for data storage as well as analysis
- Clean coder, clear thinker and articulate communicator

About The Company

They build the systems that accelerate businesses: whether that's organising information, connecting processes, or driving decisions with data analysis.

Founded by two software engineers with a background in management consulting, they love the technical as well as the strategic. They are a small (but perfectly formed!) team, looking for like-minded individuals who care about writing good code and love a challenge.

Their software is already out there, doing good things for their clients. Work you do will have a direct effect on what they do and how they do it, and you'll be a key member of the company as they grow.

The Fine Print

They appreciate that developers have varied experience and that the best developers understand the concepts so that they can apply them in any given context. They set high standards for themselves and the software that they deliver so are open to making use of new technology/techniques as they improve. So, if you think you're good but don't quite match their list of skills they would still love to hear from you. They are looking to pay a salary of £25-45k with a yearly bonus dependent on performance. The role is based in Oxford, comes with 25 days of leave and you must have the right to work in the UK.
