They now have an opportunity available for a Health, Safety and Facilities Manager to join them to ensure that Health & Safety is integral to the work of the Group by providing guidance to employees at all levels of the organisation on all aspects of Health & Safety.

Monitoring, and striving to improve, Health & Safety performance, you must regularly review and develop the Group’s Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant to, and inclusive of, the hazards facing the business. 

Managing the delivery and development of effective Health & Safety inspection, testing and monitoring plans and programmes relating to gas safety, water hygiene, fire safety, asbestos management and mechanical and electrical installations, you must also manage all building services related activities, and facilities management of Head Office, ensuring that statutory and regulatory requirements are consistently met.

Candidates for this role must hold a National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) and have previous experience of advising Directors / Line Managers on Health & Safety compliance and on facilities issues.  Capable of translating business intent into operational strategies and action plans and with a background of managing and monitoring Health & Safety related contracts, you must have a sound understanding of contract management and Health & Safety relating to property and facilities management. 

The ability to communicate effectively, professionally and accurately in the written and oral form is required and, although not essential, candidates will ideally also be a technical Member of the Chartered Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) (or equivalent) and / or hold a Building Surveying Qualification.
