Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter required - GBP29,604
Have you a strong background within Mechanical fitting/Mechanical Maintenance Engineering associated in a Manufacturing environment?
With manufacturing facilities located UK, Europe and Worldwide we now require an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Team at the Lancaster based manufacturing facility. This is a medium to heavy engineering environment NOT Food/NOT Clean room, and would suit an engineer who is hands on and enjoys working on large heavy industrial automated equipment. The work environment is clean, warm and modern and offers a technically focused hands on role with variation including - projects, installations, maintenance and service.
Salary: OTE GBP35,000 and upwards
Hours/Shift: Monday-Friday 07:00-15:00 & 11:00-19:00 with on call duties 1 in 4 weekends
Benefits: pension up to 4% matched, Death in Service x3 salary, Life assurance, On site parking
Background required: Previous experience working as a mechanical maintenance engineer/fitter within a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills required:
*Apprentice trained
*A strong background within a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter:
To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
PPM's
The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
* Time served apprenticeship
* Strong mechanical background
* Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks, Conveyors
* Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc.
* Any welding or machining experience advantageous
Training:
The company offer specific machinery training.

*Earnings of GBP35,000 and upwards
