Telehouse has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (Data Centre/Telecoms) to join the team based in London. You will join us on a full time basis for a fixed term contract of 12 weeks and will receive a highly competitive salary.

In the UK our Docklands data centre campus facilitates the majority of the London Internet Exchange’s (LINX) capacity, meaning that we support a huge proportion of all UK internet traffic, making our Docklands campus a globally important internet hub. Telehouse is the data centre subsidiary of Japanese corporation KDDI, a $42 billion Global Fortune 300 telecommunications and systems integration provider.

In this Project Manager role you will have management responsibility for Project Delivery and Client Management.  This will include the running of Data Centre improvement/construction projects, managing Clients and developing new business opportunities

Key duties of our Project Manager will include

- Client Management

- Business Development

- Support the overall business development implementation process. Develop strong relationships with Clients and other professionals for future business opportunities.  Participate in activities in support of new business.

- Enhance the external market perception of TELEHOUSE by excellent service delivery. Realise opportunities to promote the TELEHOUSE brand.

- Project management and delivery

- Be responsible for successful service delivery including, where appropriate, overall team management. Manage appointments by reference to the project resource plan and appointment schedule of services.

- Quality Assurance

- Review service delivery in respect of project procedures.  Be responsible that procedures are being complied with and through compliance our service is being delivered in an efficient and professional manner.

- Project Resource Management

- Resource projects effectively and efficiently to deliver the required service.  Provide accurate and timely information with regard to resource planning and management.

- Executive reporting

-  Prepare project plan and monitor actual against planned financial return together with agreement on any corrective action, be responsible for invoicing, debt collection and financial information necessary to prepare management reports.

What we’re looking for in our Project Manager

- Significant experience in data centre construction.

- Significant awareness of the Construction marketplace.

- Proven experience in either Project or Cost Management.

- Prince 2 or other relevant Project Management experience.

- Good commercial awareness.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective Client relationships.

- A degree or equivalent combination of technical training plus proven experience / knowledge of construction, design, finance and management
