Estimating Administrator, Salary: Up to £21k, Based: Peterborough

We require an Estimating Administrator to work for a leading company within the construction industry who are part of a global group. The purpose of the role is to provide admin support to the Estimating Department and Admin/Bid Manager to ensure that enquiries are reviewed and processed efficiently, enquiry register is kept up to date at all times and all paperwork is completed in a timely manner. Applicants will have previous experience of working in a similar Administrator role and be IT literate with excellent experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook, PowerPoint and other database and in-house systems.

Main responsibilities of the Estimating Administrator;

  • Receive enquiries from Sales electronically, create electronic file and save documents accordingly
  • Allocate enquiry number on enquiry register
  • Print out documents and make up hard copy file
  • Ensure the enquiry procedure is followed and the appropriate documents are filled in correctly by Sales, liaising with them to resolve any initial queries
  • Review information, establish full scope of works, identify in house items of manufacture and subcontract specialist services
  • Send out requests for quotations for all subcontract elements
  • Review resource availability/timescales to bid and allocate to CAD/estimating resource
  • Assist estimating team with preparation of quotation packs where necessary
  • Enter job onto in-house workload spreadsheets
  • Book jobs out on in house workload spreadsheet once job is complete
  • General office duties including typing emails etc
  • Process orders into the business               
  • Complete and issue draft I&E forms at order stage
