Sales Negotiator - Cambridge – Competitive Salary based on Experience – Permanent, Full Time

The Company:

Our client is an independent specialist, established in 1992, who offer a customer focused service based around quality, motivated and experienced staff.  They are director owned and run and take a genuine pride in doing the very best job they can for their clients.

As a Sales Negotiator for them, you will be confident building relationships with new clients, helping vendors to sell their property and purchasers to buy a new home. You will provide regular updates of new properties onto the market, accompanying clients on viewings and acting upon any feedback provided. You will ensure that all of their sellers are provided with the highest standard of service.  You will be set targets which you will be expected to meet.

Previous residential sales experience is essential for this role, as is being able to work well under pressure. The ability to cross-sell other services is required, as is excellent customer service and communication skills. A full UK driving licence is also essential.

Hours and Pay:

  • Normal working hours are 43 per week, worked 6 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday, with a 60-minute unpaid break each day.  You may be required to work additional hours when authorised and necessitated by the needs of the business

Key tasks and duties:

  • To maximise sales by the effective handling of customer enquiries using positive listening, questioning, influencing, sales and negotiating techniques to best match customers’ seeking sales, market appraisals, conveyancing and FS opportunities
  • Registering buyers who have registered through their website
  • Professional attitude and manner when answering telephone or with walk in enquiries, directing to correct personnel to qualify potential buyers
  • Efficient management and undertaking of house viewings
  • Calling buyers to advise of new instructions and price reduction
  • To develop a thorough understanding of their rules, services and processes
  • To arrange market appraisals and to find market appraisal opportunities
  • To deliver quality customer service, by ensuring that customers’ needs are identified, met and exceeded wherever possible
  • Understand and complete required AML training and online checks for buyers and seller
  • To complete administrative tasks in an efficient and timely manner to enable activities to progress as required
  • To be a team player who uses initiative and actively contributes, participates, communicates and competes in the team environment
  • To display consistently excellent timekeeping and a flexible approach to working hours
  • To perform other tasks that the company feel is appropriate
