CDM Recruitment are working in partnership with a major manufacturing company in the search for a Development Engineer to join their growing team in Durham.
Salary Range: GBP34,500 - GBP44,000 based on experience.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Planning and carrying out performance, stress, endurance and competitor testing;
• Preparing detailed technical reports and providing recommendations for countermeasures to failures and problems identified;
• Preparing and maintaining test standards;
• Ensuring the relevant test equipment, facilities and instrumentation are in order to meet Departmental objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience in an Engineering role and be educated to a minimum of HNC in a relevant subject, preferably holding a degree level qualification.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills at all levels and have the ability to complete projects within the set timescales. Excellent IT skills would be an advantage, as would a good working knowledge of measurement systems including transducers, instrumentation and computer based data logging equipment.
This role may involve overseas travel, sometimes at short notice
