Hope House has a unique opportunity available for a Neonatal Link Nurse to join the team based in Conwy. The role is a full time permanent position, however part time working may be considered. We are offering the Neonatal Link Nurse a salary of £32,052 to £40,370 per annum dependant on skills and experience.

Hope House Children’s hospices are bright, homely, active and supportive places. We have two hospices, Hope House situated in Morda, Oswestry and Ty-Gobaith situated in Conwy.  We’re a charity that cares for children with serious conditions, who aren’t expected to live longer than early adulthood.  We help them enjoy the best possible quality of life and be as comfortable, happy and fulfilled as they can.  We support their parents and families too, who often find it hard to cope.  All our services are provided free of charge to families, but to carry on funding them we need to raise over £6 million every year - almost all of it through the local community.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Neonatal Link Nurse with a special interest in working with neonates. An ENB 405 is essential for the role, along with recent neonatal experience. With an ENB 998 or equivalent qualification desirable, you will take a lead role to continue developing the service, liaising with families and healthcare professionals in a variety of settings.

You will be required to travel across the catchment area on a regular basis and will therefore need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle (business mileage expenses are paid).

Skills needed to become our Neonatal Link Nurse

You will be an excellent communicator and will work well within a multi-disciplinary team. You will relish the opportunity to teach and up-skill your colleagues in this specialist area both within the hospice and statutory sector. You will be confident and competent to give direct care to this very vulnerable client group and their families. A flexible attitude to accommodate the ever changing needs of the service users will be essential and therefore hours will include some evening and weekend working.

As our Neonatal Link Nurse there will be a requirement to work some shifts as part of the in-house Care Team, dependent upon contracted hours. Staff are offered the option of remaining in the NHS Superannuation Scheme (or to join the Hope House Group Pension Plan).

Closing date: 21st September 2017, 5pm
