Buyer with strong Food Category experience, plus excellent negotiation, communication and project management capabilities is needed for this dynamic business.

OUR CLIENT has multiple site in the UK and Internationally and are continually looking to expand their already very successful business that prides itself on high ethical sourcing and processing standards by focusing on achieving a Zero Carbon Footprint and the introduction of Wind Turbines.

THE BUYER
Reporting to Purchasing Manager the Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing all of the raw and semi-finished materials, ingredients, packaging and indirect services needed for successful production at the best price available and within agreed quality specifications. This will involve:
??Developing and maintaining robust relationships with assigned UK and global suppliers and customers.
??Maintaining the approved supplier database and investigate alternative suppliers
??Negotiating prices, discount terms and transportation / delivery with suppliers and developing long term contractual relationships

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will have experience as a Buyer is essential with proven track record of success in sourcing food products Internationally. Other key attributes will include:
??Pragmatic approach to solving problems - whilst working well under pressure
??Ideally educated to degree level
??High levels of IT Skills - especially Excel, Word and Power Point
