Refrigeration Engineer / Industrial Refrigeration Engineer
Due to a current Engineer retiring our client needs a new Service Technician for the Southampton office. The candidate will be required to carry out maintenance, service and trouble-shooting (involving the diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems problems) on industrial/commercial refrigeration (including NH3/ammonia), air conditioning and process equipment (water chillers).
Ideally Service Engineers will be;
Time served, with at least three years post apprenticeship experience.
Refrigeration Engineer will require a high degree of electrical/mechanical competency, with a proven ability servicing, maintaining and trouble shooting on large refrigerating/air con / chiller plant (industrial & commercial scale).
Industrial Engineers will also be required to assist with the installation and commissioning of some new installations.
The Industrial Refrigeration Engineer will be required to liaise directly with the customer/client to ensure work is carried out to their satisfaction and to identify future potential business.
Candidates will need to provide detailed technical reports on work carried out, or further work necessary to restore plant to optimum operating efficiency
Complete work reports/timesheets to enable invoices to be submitted with minimum delay.
Qualifications
C&G or NVQ in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
C&G F-Gas 2079
Safe Handling of Ammonia Certification.
Service Techs Should Have -
Good communication skills
Flexible to work overtime at short notice and participation in a stand-by rota.
Clean Driving Licence (not essential, but desirable)
Be used to the needs placed on Service Engineers in a refrigeration team
