A position has become available at our Head Office to join our Facilities Team as a Maintenance Assistant. The purpose of this role is the support the business and other stakeholders by carrying out maintenance work and transferring information across our offices so that the business operates efficiently and professionally at all times.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team and also independently, with the ability to build good relationships with internal and external partners. Although professional qualifications are not required, we would ask that the individual is competent in dealing with plumbing, carpentry, decorating, gardening and minor electrical works, with a good understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable with challenging existing processes to bring improvements, have good organisation skills and a high level of accuracy.  You must have a full driving licence and be IT literate to be considered for this role.

Daily tasks to include;

Responding to helpdesk requests, ensuring the service provided is excellent at all times

Prioritise workload to meet customer and colleagues expectations and acceptable timeframes

Maintenance work - Work is carried out to a high standard so that our buildings and supporting grounds remain professional and safe at all times

Health and Safety - Responsibility for staff, customer and your own personal safety is of paramount importance when undertaking any maintenance or improvements

Deliveries - Transport items, using the work van, between the Society's different offices
