Our client provides a comprehensive range of IT services and software solutions for businesses of all sizes. They are now looking for a Trainee Developer to join their talented team in Kirkham, just outside Preston. 

You’ll receive full training and ongoing support to enable you to progress through the developer ranks and grow alongside the business. 

As a Trainee Developer, you’ll increase your IT expertise in a number of areas by assisting with a wide variety of projects. 

Initially, you will help with escalated helpdesk tickets that have been passed through as bugs. You’ll learn how to identify solutions and manage deployments to test systems, as well as live systems, once you have more experience. 

Once you’ve mastered the art of fixing bugs, you’ll get involved with our client’s development work. Every step of the way, you’ll receive support, coaching and guidance from a highly-skilled team. 

Interested? To be considered, you’ll need: 

- Some object-oriented programming experience gained through your studies, a professional environment or similar 
- At a minimum, five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A* - C, including English Language 

Enthusiastic and eager to succeed, as a Trainee Developer, you will be a quick learner with great problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also key, as is the ability to prioritise tasks. 

Previous helpdesk experience would be beneficial to your application, as would any database knowledge. A degree level qualification would also be advantageous.
