An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join us on a contract basis until 30th March 2018.

Within this role, you will provide the full range of quantity surveying services, working alone or as part of a team, including, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), interim valuation, final accounts and claims. You will have responsibility for the provision of a professional and cost effective quantity surveying service both pre and post contract.

You will keep abreast of new and changing legislation and will be responsible for the compilation of Target costs and the contractual management of Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.  You will place Subcontractor Orders and will carry out the measurement and preparation of Interim Applications for payment and Final Accounts.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have a thorough knowledge of building construction, types of contract and quantity surveying procedures, with experience in the Social Housing Sector.  The ability and experience of taking quantities from sketches and drawings work up and abstract dimensions in accordance with standard method of measurement seventh edition is also essential.

In addition, you should have the ability to plan and organise workloads effectively to meet deadlines and targets in the face of competing demands and cost constraints.

Candidates for this role must hold a full valid UK driving licence
