As a Registered Nurse your main responsibilities and duties will include , although not be limited to;
Responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing, personal and social care needs required by each resident. To lead a team of staff in delivering nursing and care to residents in the care home
Providing direct nursing care as directed in each residents care plan.
Supervising and training Care Practitioners.
To be responsible for the application of Health & Safety practices within daily working practices sharing a common responsibility for Health & Safety across the Association.
Compliance with the Association's Risk Management Strategy, identifying and mitigating against risk.
Deliver excellent Customer Service for both internal and external service users and stakeholders, ensuring the customer experience is a positive one.
Provide information within the home that is relevant to the preparation of reports and meeting agendas.
Make clinical decisions relating to meeting the needs of residents in assessments and review meeting within the home. To be able to communicate these decisions effectively to the Care Homes Manager and within the team in various formats i.e. written, verbally.
Ensure that all records used to record the nursing and care provided in the care home are kept up to date and that the staff team you are responsible for follow the policies and procedures within the home
What we are looking for :
A commitment to ongoing professional development by attending any reasonable training and/or development activity that the home requires to meet the needs of the residents in the care home.
Working knowledge of the legislative framework relating to the homes service particularly The Care Homes (Wales) Regulations 2002 and relevant National Minimum Standards.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills across all levels internally, and externally.
Fully understand and comply with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
The post holder will be expected to have a good working knowledge and understanding of generic (Microsoft Packages).
An ability to make clinical decisions relating to meeting the needs of residents in assessments and review meetings within the home.
An ability to plan, monitor, appraise and supervise the work of clinical, non clinical and auxiliary staff employed in the home to ensure that residents receive the highest standards of care at all times.
