Basic qualifications:
Life Sciences Degree (MD or Pharmacy) -

Area of Specialisation* Infectious disease, Virology, immunology, HIV

Preferred qualifications:
MD (registered in any country) or PharmD (registered in UK)

Area of Specialisation: HIV, Virology

A high level of scientific expertise is required to effectively interpret and incorporate scientific data into commercial and medical materials, whilst ensuring this is balanced and accurate and compliant with relevant regulations and practices.

Details:
The role will chiefly be responsible for scientific support to the EU/US/International DTG/Triumeq medical and commercial teams material development, medical planning, medical information, communication, training, brand strategy and ISS management.

The GSA will directly work with and support the Global Scientific Affairs Director and the Global Medical Lead.

Key Responsibilities
• Have exceptional leadership, influencing and networking skills.
• Be very highly knowledgeable of all relevant compliance requirements and business processes.
• Be required to demonstrate a very high level of commercial awareness/involvement.
• Be highly knowledgeable of HIV and HIV management.

A Global Scientific Advisor will have supported products at different stages of their life cycle and will therefore have a breadth of experience of different opportunities and challenges.

Through their ability to demonstrate the above, a Global Scientific Advisor will be recognised as an expert in HIV and be seen as a key contact both within and outside ViiV. They will be required to input into the longer-term strategy for DTG/Triumeq. They will be required to have demonstrable expertise in complex and contentious Code of Practice issues across multiple markets.

They will have effectively and credibly led cross-functional teams/projects, including those aligned to key commercial processes, with successful management of stakeholders.
