The Role
The Senior PSL's responsibilities in supporting the Group and working in the team are:
First and foremost, develop, execute and maintain the Group's Core Precedent Roadmap. The Core Precedent Roadmap is the compilation of the Group's principal precedents and other key know how that are the minimum global legal know how needs of the Group that must be consistently kept up to date.
Ensure Group know how is available in the Firm's legal know how search system.
Develop and prepare training materials and organize and present seminars and training sessions relevant to the Group's lawyers.
Work closely with BD team members to provide legal knowledge to support developing client alerts, client webinars, thought leadership programs and other client facing collateral.
Action and implement other knowledge initiatives in the Group's Business Plan.
Help establish a "knowledge-sharing culture" within the Group through focused communications to publicize the benefits KM.
Work closely with the Director to ascertain and monitor the knowledge needs and priorities of the Group, including how to continuously improve the Firm's legal know how system.
Undertake legal and industry research as required.
Work with PSLs of other practices to help identify opportunities for working jointly with the Group on activities that are relevant across these other groups.
Work with office PSLs serving the Group, to monitor knowledge needs and priorities, particularly around new legislation and legal/policy developments.
Maintain the KM section of the Group's intranet page.
Contribute to Global KM projects and initiatives as and when required.
Liaise with the PSLs serving other Global Practice/Industry Groups, sharing best practices with them and learning from them.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current developments relevant to the Group and prepare update summaries
As needed by the Group, answer know how queries from the Group's lawyers.

Key Skills and Experience Required
Law degree with a current license to practice law (or eligibility for one)
At least six years post qualification experience as a practicing lawyer focused on drafting English law-governed contracts
The six years post qualification experience should include at least three to four years of major projects deal work, such as conventional and green power projects; oil and gas projects; mining and metals projects; and infrastructure projects, particularly those structured as public private partnerships. Alternatively, candidates with a strong project or debt finance background will be considered.
