About the role:

Reporting to the Divisional Director (South West), you will be part of Hft's operational management team. Your responsibilities will include the management and development of services within Bristol and Bath, the Forest of Dean and Wiltshire, raising the profile and working standards to ensure that Hft is the leading provider of learning disability services in England. You will become a champion of our support model, Fusion, and ensure the model is used to optimum effect for the delivery of high quality, personalised services. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to shape and be involved in a groundbreaking model of support being delivered in the Forest of Dean service. This is new to the Learning Disabilities Care Sector and we have an ambitious plan of delivery and assessment supported by the Local Authority over the next few years. Once successful we will use this model across other
Hft services and maybe beyond.

The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to shape and develop the services and to lead the team to success.

About you:

You will need to be an experienced leader with knowledge and experience of negotiating with Local Authorities, managing significant budgets, strong communication skills and the awareness and sensitivity of dealing with the issues surrounding a changing organisation. You will possess at least a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent, and have a full driving licence which is essential to this role.

You will be responsible for a large geographic region including new growth and development. The region supports people who have behaviours which can be challenging, therefore experience in supporting people who have complex needs is essential.
