On Screen Journalist - ITV News Tyne Tees - Gateshead

1 Year Maternity Cover contract
An opportunity for an experienced television journalist to become one of the faces of the North East of England as an on-screen journalist with ITV Tyne Tees.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in original journalism and great story-telling as well as sound knowledge of broadcast regulation and the law.
High quality self-shooting and editing skills are essential.
To be a successful candidate, you will have a strong background in journalism and a proven track record in producing original stories at a local level. You will have excellent editorial judgement and you will be a first class communicator who can build relationships with contacts to bring in original news stories.
You must be a self-starter who will be willing and enthusiastic about developing camera and editing skills to complement the newsgathering and story-telling skills that you already possess.
We are a multi-platform operation so you will be enthusiastic about developing an online presence through our web sites and via social media interaction.
