Mechanical Design Engineer
GBP30,000-GBP35,000, 25 day's holiday plus bank, Pension 1%, Bonus paid every 6 months, Life Assurance
The Company
Established in the 50's my client design and manufacture processing systems for use in the recycling, food manufacturing and energy sectors. With an excellent brand and reputation which is based on the quality of product and service, the business has a strong pipeline of existing and pending projects, with the potential to double their turnover. As a result of this exciting growth, they now need another Mechanical Design Engineer to join the business.
The role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Will start off doing the Manufacturing drawings for both equipment and systems, Create BOM's, and operating manuals and other documentation
- Conduct Site visits with both customers and suppliers
- Support the Senior team of Project Engineers where required
- As you develop you will start doing 3D modelling in Solidworks for one off pieces of equipment, with a view to eventually modelling the entire system.
- As you develop confidence and competence you will be given the opportunity manage small Projects (50K+) and then large multi-million-pound Projects where you will be responsible for the whole project from cradle to grave.
The candidate
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will:
- 3 Years' experience working in a design role for an engineering company
- Experience in doing both 2D and 3D Mechanical Designs
- HNC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent as minimum
- Good team player and communicator
