Demonstrator Drivers, Edinburgh

Due to our continued expansion into the automotive sector and a significant demand for our services, we are looking for Demonstrator Drivers to join our team in Scotland, ideally those living within a 10-mile radius of either Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will join us on a part time basis working 30 hours per week Monday-Friday and will receive a salary of £7.50 per hour rising to £8.00 per hour after 6 months. AutoXP operate ‘Annualised Hours' contracts for their Demonstrator Drivers.

AutoXP is the premier provider in our sector. We are retained by leading automotive manufacturers to manage all aspects of their experiential marketing and test drive fleets for activity in the corporate, marketing and VIP sector. As one of our Demonstrator Drivers, you will deliver and collect premier brand vehicles from our clients throughout the UK, ensuring that they offer a quality brand experience. You will be issued with a hand-held device, to be used as part of your duties.

About the role

Monday-Friday either on your own or as a 2-person team, Drivers will collect a vehicle and take it to a meeting point, either at Carlisle or north of there and swap over with a Chipping Warden based driver to take a vehicle back into Scotland for delivery. If no vehicle is available to take down, the Driver will either get a lift with another Driver, take a train or be de-rostered.

Initial training will be at our Head Office in Chipping Warden, Oxfordshire.

To become one of our Demonstrator Drivers you must have the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Attention to detail, the ability to think on your feet and great customer service are critical, as we provide a brand experience on behalf our clients. Full product knowledge will be given.

- Experience in a similar role would be an advantage,

- First class communication, administrative and key IT skills.

- The ability to work to deadlines in our fast-paced environment is essential.

Insurance cover dictates no applicants under the age of 25, but there is no upper age limit. You must be in possession of a full and valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points. You must have a secure driveway on which to store a vehicle.

Edinburgh is commutable from Kings Knowe, Dalkeith, Dalmeny and surrounding areas.

We never expect drivers to break the law, by speeding or any other driving offence.
