Advertising Production Coordinator

This is an opportunity to join a fast growing small/medium publisher located in Peterborough, running several businesses in the print and digital e-commerce worlds.

They are creative and entrepreneurial, and as a matter of culture they strive to punch above their weight and share financial success with employees.

They produce 2 flagship magazines, which are distributed online, in print through their subscriber database and through major high street and independent newsagents. They also operate eight websites, which together represent six separate businesses.

What the job involves:

You will be managing the advertising copy, systems and production for their two weekly magazines with a second part-time team member.

You will be responsible for:
- Chasing advertising copy from an average of around 60 clients per week.
- Managing freelance graphic designers who will create new adverts and make changes to previous adverts.
- Organising and correctly administrating repeat artwork from previous editions.
- Approving and uploading all final advertising pages to go to print.
You will be required to work to tight deadlines and be flexible with working outside of normal hours to complete projects.

Personal Profile:
- You must be able to implement new systems and procedures to improve efficiency where possible.
- You must have good English language and customer service skills to build positive client relationships.
- You must have a strong work ethic, good time keeping and engaging personality.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in ad copy chasing and ad production management at a publishing firm.
- An understanding of the advertising copy and production process, file types and good understanding of Microsoft programmes.
- You must be very organised and methodical in your work. You will need to administer systems for tracking the progress of copy and freelance designers' work.

Desirable:
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

Salary:
They expect the salary to be in the range of £15,000 - £17,000 pro rata, dependent on ability and experience.
