Who will I be working with?

Arriva TrainCare provides Light and Heavy Train Maintenance services to the railway industry from its five strategically located maintenance depots. What will the role of Training and Talent Development Partner entail?

Working closely with the HR Manager and colleagues across all departments, you will provide a full learning and development service by analysing needs and creating effective action plans to align with business strategy and assist with achieving results. Your remit will be to;

  • Support the implementation of the learning and development strategy and delivery of key workshops to maximise skills in people management and technical knowledge to increase performance
  • Build and maintain a competency framework for each job role
  • Organise regular ability assessments for team members, linked to personal objectives and the performance review process
  • Identify and prioritise learning needs to support the creation of the learning and development strategy, as well as annual functional training plans for each department
  • Ensure the most appropriate development or apprenticeship programmes are in place for individuals
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships
  • Organise and prioritise time to produce high quality targeted blended learning materials, workshops and interventions
  • Monitor and evaluate the delivery of all workshops, learning solutions and Apprentice programmes to ensure their effectiveness, including researching new theories and methods of learning
  • Design imaginative, compelling and cost-effective learning solutions to maximise individual learning
  • Manage the end to end project plan and implementation strategy for the ATC Apprenticeship programme

What will I need to be considered for this Training and Talent Development Partner vacancy?

  • Proven track record in design and delivery of a range of technical and interpersonal skills learning solutions, ideally gained within the rail industry
  • Professional qualification in Human Resource Management and / or Training and Development
  • Be able to practically demonstrate the design of imaginative, impactful learning materials
  • Be able to manage numerous high profile projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience in facilitating, able to communicate effectively both written and verbally to transfer knowledge and skills and influence at all levels, including senior management
  • Superb organisation skills with the ability to proactively manage time and prioritise tasks
  • Full UK driving licence

What will I receive in return?

Salary: Circa £27,000, level dependent on experience

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
