Planning, analysing, delivering - how your skills can make a difference to adult social care
About CQC
As the independent regulator of health and social care in England, CQC ensures people are provided with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care. As part of our inspection, monitoring and regulatory activities, we support health and social care providers in making improvements, and publish what we find to help people choose care.
About the role
Use your operational management experience to make a difference in adult social care, reporting on how well services meet requirements to be safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led. Managing your own portfolio of providers, you will plan and carry out a risk-based inspection programme, ensuring records are regularly updated and that there is a clear audit trail. This includes assessing and analysing information from a variety of channels, such as service users and safeguarding experts, as well as visiting services in person. Where problems are encountered, you will take enforcement action, escalating complex cases as necessary. Working from a home base, you'll have plenty of autonomy, but with the support and expert input of a wider team.
About you
Your background in health or social care will have fuelled a passion for making a difference in adult social care. This will be matched by well-honed operational skills and experience of working in a regulatory, risk-focused environment. A confident decision-maker, you will understand the importance of analytical information and risk-based methodologies. You'll be ready to make the case for action based on robust evidence and will have strong communication and team-working skills, including the ability to build sound working relationships with people at all levels.
*Please note that this role is home based and will include regular travel within the South East Region.
