About Pukka

Pukka Herbs create delicious organic herbal teas and supplements that take people on a journey of discovery to a healthier life, benefiting people, plants and the planet. Pukka Herbs began 15 years ago and is the fastest growing herbal tea company and the 6th fastest growing grocery brand in the UK.

Our warehouse plays a vital role within Pukka's global operations, and our team are at the heart of what we do. We receive bulk herbs from around the world, the quality is checked, and then dispatched onwards to our manufacturers and co-packers. Finished product is also picked and despatched to our many web consumers and shops across the UK and globally. As part of supporting Pukka's rapid growth we also reconfigure finished product into language specific packs ready for despatch to customers globally.

We pride ourselves on ensuring our warehouse is compliant with a unique combination of accreditations and standards such as Soil Association, Fair for Life and Living Wage.

About the role

You'll own the warehouse operation, whether its managing the building, H&S or systems, and ultimately be accountable for performance of the site. This is a great platform to apply distribution best practice to support our entrepreneurial growth. The conditions to succeed are in place and it now needs the right leadership to unlock it.

You'll demonstrate judgement to balance and set priorities to give exceptional results today and next year. You will have the strong influencing skills and aspiration to shape and drive the agenda to deliver results.

A typical day could include working with your team to ensure that orders are despatched in line with our lead time, to being involved in commercial discussions with new customers. With such a breadth of responsibilities you'll have the opportunity to make this role your own, continually learn, and play a pivotal role in shaping our future.

Day to day you'll lead and skilfully manage an engaged team of 12 people to deliver great performance, keeping them motivated to deliver our exciting plans. You'll work closely with stakeholders to drive improvements, implement robust stock management practices, scenario plan, evolve the warehouse, and deliver in line with an annual budget and resource model.

You'll report to the Head of Supply Chain and drive our Supply Chain agenda. With Pukka's phenomenal growth, there is opportunity to progress and get involved in managing our external distribution partners.

About you

You'll have commercial gravitas, personal drive, energy, purposeful effort, and brilliant people leadership capabilities. If this is at the heart of what drives you personally and professionally, we could be a perfect fit for you and your next career move.

Educated to degree level you'll have demonstrable experience gained within a warehouse, factory or logistics managerial role, ideally in an FMCG, the food industry, or an organic business. You'll have managed a warehouse or production team and have a passion for quality and delighting our customers.

You'll have a track record of delivering change agendas and have an approach that is nurturing, motivational and connected closely to your team.
