Finance Manager / Finance Director / ACA / ACCA/ CIMA / MBA / Accounting / Accounts Manager

Finance Manager (ACA, ACCA or CIMA and/or MBA qualified) with previous experience is needed for our client, a forward thinking, dynamic security provider with a £4.5Million turnover. They are looking for someone with experience within an independent business and managing a small team to take overall control of the company's accounting function. This role is based at their offices in Burton-on-Trent.

The Role:

  • Leading and managing a small finance team
  • Contributing fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business; challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate; and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
  • Ensuring company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
  • Presenting monthly management accounts and preparing annual accounts ready for audit
  • Ensuring regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
  • Corporate finance: managing the finances of any corporate activity including acquisitions, disposals, and fund raising activities
  • Establishing a high level of credibility and managing strong working relationships with external parties including auditors, lawyers, customers and other advisors
  • Producing regular financial and management information to ensure the financial performance of the Group is clear and understood
  • Ensuring an appropriate internal control framework is in place to safeguard the assets of the business
  • Understanding, managing and developing payroll accounting
  • Preparing Company Profit and Loss / Balance sheets; Cash Flow forecasts; Annual Budgets and comparing with actual business performance
  • Responsibility for payroll and processing administration

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA and/or MBA qualified
  • Previous industry experience
  • Previous experience as Finance Director or Accounts Manager / Company Accountant
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel in particular
  • Managing and developing a team of staff
  • Business awareness
  • Interpersonal influence
  • Decision making
  • Sage Experience
  • A team player who isn't afraid to jump in and help the team should it be necessary

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000

Hours: Must reflect business needs
