Salary: £47,019 per annum, rising to £51,819

Location: Chelmsford

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 37 hours

Our client have an opportunity for a new data and product manager to lead the data, programme and project teams during a period of massive change. The core functions of the role are to lead the team and develop the project management function and allow them to capture and deliver on commercial opportunities that arise during their digital transformation. Other functions this role will cover include taking ownership of the council's data portfolio and developing the strategies for projects, digital commercialisation and data (including GIS).

The Digital Services team are delivering an exciting journey of digital transformation for the Council. Through implementation of new technologies, process optimisation and application development, we are totally reinventing the way services work and how we deliver to all our customers, both internal and external. The digital services function is made up of our programme and projects team, our new DevOps IT team, support desk and data team. Our programme of change will move the organisation to a single platform built on Microsoft technologies.

Working across the entire council, you will oversee a varied host of projects in fields from car parks to theatres, HR to procurement and everything in between.
