Job Title: Business Support Analyst

Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire

The company has been a part of a larger UK group of specialist travel companies since December 2015. They operate as a totally standalone business, but also work closely with their sister companies wherever possible. Other brands within the group are Inghams, Esprit, Ski Total, Santa's Lapland and Inntravel.

Working closely with the Head of Business Intelligence and the Yield Manager, the Business Support Analyst will help to optimise the company's commercial performance through providing accurate and incisive data to support decision-making.

The role combines simple but important administrative tasks, for example updating daily and weekly trading reports, with more challenging analytical work.

Working in a small team and liaising closely with the Marketing and Product teams, the role requires flexibility, open-mindedness and a willingness to take on both routine jobs and new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updating and circulating competitor price report.
  • Monitoring and reporting performance against trading targets.
  • Providing Customer Insight through in-house CRM system.
  • Planning and co-ordination of offers and promotions.
  • Offer performance analysis and reporting.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly trading analysis and reports.
  • Performance analysis to inform product review meetings.
  • Preparing data to support meetings with external agents and suppliers.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Provide statistical analysis and commercial insight for the business on request.

Skills and Experience - Essential:

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Have a high level of numeracy.
  • Have analytical skills with the ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Have a focus on accuracy and quality and a good attention to detail.
  • Ability to treat people with respect under all circumstances, install trust and uphold the values of the business.
  • Skilled manipulator of data with the ability to present it in a clear, concise and visual way. Confident in analysing large amounts of data.
  • Comfortable working in a commercial environment, able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to develop good working relationships with individuals and teams across the whole organisation.

Skills and Experience - Desirable:

  • Experience communicating across multiple teams through an organisation.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, MS Powerpoint and Google Analytics.
  • Previous experience working in a commercial environment.

Education:

  • Higher education - Educated to degree level (preferred).
