Trainee Quantity Surveyor is needed for our client, a small construction company based in Crowborough. They have an excellent career opportunity for a keen learner to train on the job in running a small construction office, and quantity surveying. The role could incorporate a college course one day per week for training.

The Role:

• You will be working alongside the two company directors on some of the following tasks:
• Working from drawings to estimate material and labour quantities
• Purchasing materials
• Checking invoices for payment
• Writing health and safety plans
• Enquiring and letting sub-contractor packages
• Managing labour
• Visiting construction sites for quality control and management
• Updating company records and stocks
• Liaising with clients and architects

Requirements:

• Previous work experience is desirable but not essential (any sector)
• Full UK Driving License
• Access to your own transportation
• Local to Crowborough
• Interest in construction
• Practically minded
• This position would suit an ex-graduate or school leaver with good exam results in maths and science.

Salary: £11,000 - £22,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Trainee position.
